We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is
someone today. ~Stacia Tauscher

You provided some very good quotes! I enjoyed them! My favorite is "Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them.” This quote has more meaning then I can describe. I always worry if my daughter has enough (She really does have too much) but she is my first and I have to spoil her. I often have to sit back, take a deep breath, and remember that hugging her, kissing her, and letting her know that she is special is more important then giving her any toy! Thank you very much for reminding me of that today!
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed reading your posts and learning about you over the past 8 weeks. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and for allowing me to read your writings on your blogs. I appreciate it so much and wish you the best no matter what it is you decide to do in life! Good luck!
These are some great quotes. The one that really sits with me is the first one. It makes me think of how my Aunts house was the house that everyone always went to. She made it such a safe environment. But that environment prevented so many children from being on the street and getting involved in activities we had no business engaging in.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed reading your blog during these last eight weeks. You have so much to offer the students that you touch. They are lucky to have a teacher like you. Keep up the good work and good luck in all of your future endeavors.
Well said Dorothy Parker. It is up to the adults to make sure we have provided the "best" and by "best" I mean as caring, supportive and secure environments we can for all children within our power to do so. I shall take that quote with me throughout my professional years.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes in your work with children. I plan to continue following your blog. We should keep in touch for professional supports in the future.
