"My Connections to Play."

“For in every adult there dwells the child that was, and in every child there lies the adult that will be.” ― John Connolly

“That's what makes it so right. Your eyes-- your soul is there, but the rest of you is still so undefined. That's the beauty of childhood. The eyes show everything you've seen so far, but the rest of you is still so open to possibility, to whatever you might become.”   ― Bree Despain

“Anybody who has survived his childhood has enough information about life to last him the rest of his days.”    ― Flannery O'Connor

People Supported Play

My mother and father supported play when I was younger by providing the things I wanted to play with as a child.  Also they supported play by making me stay outside instead of coming in the house to play.  They supported play by telling me to use my imagination when I was bored and didn't have anyone to play with.

My neighborhood supported play when I was younger by playing along with me.  We all shared ideas and used our imagination to pretend to go on different advendures.

My teachers in elementary supported play when I was younger by providing me with recess to interact with my classmates.

Play Today is Similar or Different From the Play
I think todays play is different from when I was growing up.  I am a 80's baby right when the first Nintendo was made.  So as a child I had to use my imagination to play.  I had toys but still had to use my imagination and be creative.  However, todays play is different.  There is a lot of technology now days.  Children are not playing, using their imagination, or being creativer these days and I think its the parents fault for providing these things.  I wish more parents would promote free play without technology and make their kids use they imagination creatative.

Role of Play Throughout My Life and/or the Role of Play Throughout Childhood and Adulthood

As stated in my quotes above it basically sums up how my role of play.  Play is something that should contuine throughtout life.  Playing keeps the mind young and the body young as well.
